NOVEMBER MEETING NOTES
- Certificates are now available to anyone who has volunteered for club activites except the CDTA Wellness Fairs. If you'd like to pick yours up please e-mail Beth Richardson.
- A new volunteer opportunity was proposed by Jackie MacLasco. The Troy YMCA started a Youth Fit Club and is looking for volunteers to teach to 7-13 year olds for about a 1/2 hour. If you are interested or for more info please contact Jackie.
- We will be holding a T-shirt fundraiser to raise money for the club. Shirts are available in several colors and sizes and would make great holiday gifts. Please see the Nutrition Club website to view all options. Orders should be given to Stephanie Ross no later then November 23. Please include size and description. The cost is $7 each. For more info or to place an order e-mail Stephanie.
- The 2nd annual holiday party including the cookie exchange, door prizes, and ugly sweater contest will be held December 9th at 12:30. 16 people have sent an RSVP and their recipe. If you would like to participate please e-mail Donna Duffy.
- A representative from Kaplan graduate school will be speaking about dietetic interships. Tentatively, the date is set for Wednesday, December 2nd. The time is TBD.
- We will be setting a date in late December for a small group to visit the Children's Hospital. An e-mail will be sent with more information.
We're looking for fun ideas for a club trip this spring. If you have any idea please e-mail Beth.

NEW WEBSITE: If anyone has any pictures from previous events you may e-mail them to Nicole. We'd love to put them up!
KAPLAN GRAD SCHOOL SPEAKER: If there is enough interest we are planning on bringing in a speaker to answer any questions about the graduate school process. There is no set date yet.
CLUB T-SHIRTS: We would like to order club T-shirts in November (these are different than the shirts ordered for the breast cancer walk). If anyone has ideas you may send them to Beth.
BREAST CANCER WALK: The Breast Cancer Walk will be held on October 18th. Registration starts at 10:00 a.m. and the walk begins at noon. The club will be forming a team this year. If you'd like to participate you need to sign up online. You can do so on the Nutrition Club website. Also, if you'd like to order a team T-shirt (pink with black design) e-mail your size to Nicole by Wednesday September 16th at 12 PM. An e-mail about the price will be sent out once all orders are in.
SAGE FEST: We will be selling baked goods at Sage Fest. Our theme this year is pumpkin. We will need volunteers to both bake and sit at the Nutrition Club table. Sign up sheets are on the door of the nutrition lounge (3rd floor Ackerman)
CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL/WOMEN'S SHELTER: Since everyone has different preferences, it was proposed that volunteer locations will be held at either the Children's Hospital or the Women's Shelter, switching locations every other month. We would like to hear your about your interest/feedback/ideas. The first visit will be to the Children's Hospital in October, date to be determined.
DI PROCESS Q&A: Pat Severson-Wager will be answering questions regarding the general dietetic internship process. This will be held on October 14th at 12:30. The location is tentatively set in Ackerman 300. There will be brief announcements at the end of the talk instead of an October meeting.
